In Thursday's league contest, the Smithfield Sentinels (Esmond, RI) lacrosse squad nipped the visiting Mt. Hope Huskies (Bristol, RI), by a count of 10-9.

Coming up next, the Sentinels confront the Middletown Islanders (Middletown, RI) in a Division 2 contest, on Tuesday, April 16. Smithfield will attempt to advance on its 1-2 season record. The Islanders enter the contest with a 1-2 record after their 15-4 league win over Pilgrim (Warwick, RI).
