Spectators at Thursday's non-league battle between the Volcano Vista Hawks (Albuquerque, NM) and the host Sandia Matadors (Albuquerque, NM), saw Volcano Vista's baseball squad beat Sandia by a margin of 7-1.

Coming up next, the Hawks play the Rio Rancho Rams (Rio Rancho, NM) in a battle, on Tuesday, April 16. Volcano Vista will attempt to better on its 7-5 season record. The Rams enter the battle with a 15-1 record after their 6-5 non-league win over Cleveland (Rio Rancho, NM).

The Matadors now sport a 7-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to La Cueva for a non-league battle on Saturday, April 20.
