Prout Crusaders (Wakefield, RI) followers exited the stadium in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their lacrosse squad edge the host Pilgrim Patriots (Warwick, RI), 10-9 in a league battle.

The Crusaders now have a 3-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to South Kingstown for a Division 2 battle on Monday, April 15. Prout will play a Rebels team coming off a 11-9 league loss to Cranston West (Cranston, RI). The Rebels record now stands at 1-1.

With the defeat, Pilgrim drops to 2-2 on the season. The Patriots travel to Chariho (Wood River Junction, RI) to play the Chargers in a Division 2 match on Tuesday, April 16. The Chargers go into the match with a record of 2-1. Chariho won 13-11 in their recent league match against Middletown (Middletown, RI)
