In Thursday's non-league contest, the Kolbe-Cathedral Cougars (Bridgeport, CT) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Academy of the Holy Family Marists (Baltic, CT), by a margin of 16-2.
With the triumph, Kolbe-Cathedral moves its record to 2-1 on the year. The Cougars host Joel Barlow (Redding, CT) to play the Falcons in a Southwest - Colonial contest on Saturday, April 13. The Falcons come into the contest with a record of 1-0.
