Altamont Longhorns (Altamont, UT) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they observed their softball team defeat the visiting North Summit Braves (Coalville, UT), 17-1 in a league game.

With the triumph, Altamont improves its record to 10-3 on the year. The Longhorns travel to San Juan (Blanding, UT) to clash with the Broncos in a non-league game on Saturday, April 13. The Broncos come into the game with a record of 8-4. San Juan won 17-5 in their recent league game against Gunnison Valley (Gunnison, UT)

In their next game, the Braves clash with the Rowland Hall Winged Lions (Salt Lake City, UT) in a 2A North game, on Friday, April 12. North Summit will attempt to improve on its 1-5 season record. The Winged Lions come into the game with a 0-5 record after their 26-16 non-league loss to Ben Lomond (Ogden, UT).
