The Belen Eagles softball team scored 15 runs and limited the visiting Grants Pirates to 0 in the Eagles league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, Belen moves its record to 12-8 on the year. The Eagles travel to Albuquerque Academy (Albuquerque, NM) to play the Chargers in a non-league game on Saturday, April 13. The Chargers come into the game with a record of 9-7. Albuquerque Academy lost 9-4 in their recent league game against Bernalillo (Bernalillo, NM)

In their next game, the Pirates play the Thoreau Hawks (Thoreau, NM) in a non-league game, on Monday, April 15. Grants will attempt to move on its 4-15 season record. The Hawks come into the game with a 2-6 record after their 16-15 league win over Tohatchi (Tohatchi, NM).
