New Ulm Cathedral Greyhounds (New Ulm, MN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart Mustangs (Hector, MN), 11-0 in a league challenge.

The Greyhounds now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Nicollet for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 22.

With the loss, Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Madelia (Madelia, MN) to face the Blackhawks in a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 13. The Blackhawks enter the challenge with a record of 0-2. Madelia lost 3-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Martin County West (Sherburn, MN)
