Henderson Lions (Henderson, TX) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Center Roughriders (Center, TX), 15-1 in a league challenge.

The Lions now sport a 19-8 record. They take the field next when they host Carthage for a 4A Region III District 17 challenge on Friday, April 12. Henderson will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 3-2 league loss to Gilmer (Gilmer, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 18-12.

With the loss, Center falls to 8-19 on the campaign. The Roughriders host Spring Hill (Longview, TX) to face the Panthers in a 4A Region III District 17 challenge on Friday, April 12. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 3-26. Spring Hill lost 2-0 in their recent league challenge against Gilmer (Gilmer, TX)
