The Rainier Columbians softball team scored 22 runs and limited the host Corbett Cardinals to 4 in the Columbians league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, Rainier improves its record to 5-8 on the year. The Columbians host Valley Catholic (Beaverton, OR) to clash with the Valiants in a non-league game on Tuesday, April 16. The Valiants come into the game with a record of 4-3. Valley Catholic won 7-4 in their recent league game against Warrenton (Warrenton, OR)

In their next game, the Cardinals clash with the Banks Braves (Banks, OR) in a 3A-SD1 Special District 1 test, on Tuesday, April 16. Corbett will attempt to improve on its 0-7 season record. The Braves enter the test with a 3-6 record after their 10-2 league win over Neah-Kah-Nie (Rockaway Beach, OR).
