Seneca Indians (Seneca, WI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting De Soto Pirates (De Soto, WI), 9-8 in a league challenge.

The Indians now own a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they host Belmont for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 12. Seneca will face a Braves squad coming off a 7-5 non-league loss to Iowa-Grant (Livingston, WI). The Braves record now stands at 1-1.

With the loss, De Soto falls to 0-5 on the campaign. The Pirates host Hillsboro (Hillsboro, WI) to face the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Friday, April 12. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 3-1. Hillsboro won 12-2 in their recent league challenge against Wonewoc-Center (Wonewoc, WI)
