Dinuba Emperors (Dinuba, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Tulare Western Mustangs (Tulare, CA), 7-6 in a league challenge.

The Emperors now own a 5-11 record. They take the field next when they travel to San Luis Obispo for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 13. Dinuba will face a Tigers squad coming off a 11-7 league loss to Orcutt Academy (Orcutt, CA). The Tigers record now stands at 6-11.

With the loss, Tulare Western falls to 9-7 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Hanford (Hanford, CA) to face the Bullpups in a West Yosemite challenge on Tuesday, April 16. The Bullpups enter the challenge with a record of 8-11. Hanford lost 9-3 in their recent league challenge against Tulare Union (Tulare, CA)
