Edison Wildcats (Richmond, OH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Weir Red Riders (Weirton, WV), 12-2 in a league challenge.

The Wildcats now own a 10-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Indian Creek for a Ohio Valley Athletic AAAA challenge on Tuesday, April 16. Edison will face a Redskins squad coming off a 3-2 league win over Union Local (Belmont, OH). The Redskins record now stands at 9-3.

With the loss, Weir falls to 14-7 on the campaign. The Red riders travel to Steubenville (Steubenville, OH) to face the Big Red in a Ohio Valley Athletic AAAAA challenge on Monday, April 15. The Big Red enter the challenge with a record of 7-4. Steubenville lost 16-11 in their recent league challenge against John Marshall (Glen Dale, WV)
