Kearny Kardinals (Kearny, NJ) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Harrison Blue Tide (Harrison, NJ), 18-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Kardinals now own a 5-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to West Orange for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 13. Kearny will battle a Mountaineers squad coming off a 9-5 league loss to Belleville (Belleville, NJ). The Mountaineers record now stands at 4-1.

With the loss, Harrison falls to 1-4 on the campaign. The Blue tide travel to Weehawken (Weehawken, NJ) to battle the Indians in a NJIC - National challenge on Friday, April 12. The Indians enter the challenge with a record of 4-0. Weehawken won 14-0 in their recent league challenge against Lyndhurst (Lyndhurst, NJ)
