Kankakee Kays (Kankakee, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Thornwood Thunderbirds (South Holland, IL), 15-0 in a league challenge.

The Kays now own a 5-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Rich Township for a Southland Athletic challenge on Monday, April 15. Kankakee will battle a Raptors squad coming off a 19-7 league loss to Bloom (Chicago Heights, IL). The Raptors record now stands at 4-7.

With the loss, Thornwood falls to 0-4 on the campaign. The Thunderbirds host Thornton Fractional North (Calumet City, IL) to battle the Meteors in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 15. The Meteors enter the challenge with a record of 2-7.
