Marion Mustangs (Marion, WI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Northland Lutheran Wildcats (Mosinee, WI), 5-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Mustangs now own a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they host Elcho for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 12.

With the loss, Northland Lutheran falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Rosholt (Rosholt, WI) to battle the Hornets in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 16. The Hornets enter the challenge with a record of 3-2. Rosholt lost 8-7 in their recent league challenge against Port Edwards (Port Edwards, WI)
