Watertown Arrows (Watertown, SD) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Mitchell Kernels (Mitchell, SD), 10-6 in a non-league challenge.

The Arrows now own a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Jefferson for a Class AA challenge on Monday, April 15. Watertown will battle a Cavaliers squad coming off a 7-4 league loss to Washington (Sioux Falls, SD). The Cavaliers record now stands at 4-2.

With the loss, Mitchell falls to 2-2 on the campaign. The Kernels travel to Harrisburg (Harrisburg, SD) to battle the Tigers in a Class AA challenge on Monday, April 15. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 5-0. Harrisburg won 13-11 in their recent non-league challenge against Stevens (Rapid City, SD)
