The West Lauderdale Knights softball team scored 4 runs and limited the host Newton County Cougars to 1 in the Knights league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, West Lauderdale improves its record to 21-2 on the year. The Knights host Neshoba Central (Philadelphia, MS) to clash with the Rockets in a non-league game on Saturday, April 13. The Rockets come into the game with a record of 22-3. Neshoba Central won 10-0 in their recent league game against Ridgeland (Ridgeland, MS)

In their next game, the Cougars clash with the Northeast Lauderdale Trojans (Meridian, MS) in a 4A Region 4 game, on Saturday, April 13. Newton County will attempt to improve on its 15-6 season record.
