The North Duplin Rebels softball team scored 17 runs and limited the visiting Wayne Christian Eagles to 7 in the Rebels non-league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, North Duplin moves its record to 9-1 on the year. The Rebels host Lakewood (Roseboro, NC) to play the Leopards in a Carolina 1A game on Tuesday, April 16. The Leopards come into the game with a record of 1-12. Lakewood lost 12-1 in their recent league game against Union (Rose Hill, NC)

In their next game, the Eagles play the SouthWest Edgecombe Cougars (Pinetops, NC) in a non-league game, on Friday, April 12. Wayne Christian will attempt to move on its 9-3 season record. The Cougars come into the game with a 6-6 record after their 12-0 non-league win over Rocky Mount (Rocky Mount, NC).
