Texas High School Baseball - Amarillo edges Monterey

The Amarillo Sandies baseball team scored 11 runs and held the host Monterey Plainsmen to 8 in the Sandies league win on Friday.

The Sandies now own a 19-8 record. They take the field next when they host Monterey for a 5A Region I District 3 test on Saturday, April 12. Amarillo will play a Plainsmen team coming off a 13-0 non-league loss to Abilene (Abilene, TX). The Plainsmen record now stands at 5-20.

With the defeat, Monterey drops to 5-21 on the year. The Plainsmen travel to Amarillo (Amarillo, TX) to play the Sandies in a 5A Region I District 3 test on Saturday, April 12. The Sandies go into the test with a record of 18-8. Amarillo won 15-2 in their recent league test against Tascosa (Amarillo, TX)
