In Friday's league bout, the New Hope Trojans (Columbus, MS) baseball squad overwhelmed the host Clarksdale Wildcats (Clarksdale, MS), by a tally of 8-0.

Next up, the Trojans encounter the Itawamba Agricultural Indians (Fulton, MS) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, April 12. New Hope will attempt to upgrade on its 13-7 season record. The Indians enter the bout with a 23-7 record after their 6-0 league win over Amory (Amory, MS).

The Wildcats (6-14) will now prepare for their bout against Greenville (Greenville, MS). The Hornets enter the non-league bout with a 8-10 record.
