The Clovis Wildcats (Clovis, NM) baseball the visiting Lovington Wildcats (Lovington, NM), 8-3 in Friday's non-league challenge.
The Wildcats now own a 10-8 record. They take the field next when they host Carlsbad for a 5A District 4 challenge on Tuesday, April 15. Clovis will clash with a Cavemen/Cavegirls team coming off a 10-2 non-league win over IDEA Rio Vista College Preparatory (Socorro, TX). The Cavemen/Cavegirls record now stands at 15-5.
With the defeat, Lovington drops to 10-7 on the year. The Wildcats host Goddard (Roswell, NM) to clash with the Rockets in a 4A District 4 challenge on Thursday, April 17. The Rockets go into the challenge with a record of 6-10. Goddard won 11-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Roswell (Roswell, NM)
