California High School Baseball - Elk Grove holds off Franklin

In Friday's league game, the host Elk Grove Thundering Herd baseball team scored a close 8-4 win over the Franklin Wildcats.

The Thundering Herd (10-7) will now prepare for their game against Clovis North (Fresno, CA). The Broncos go into the non-league game with a 14-2 record. In their last game, Clovis North nudged Clovis (Clovis, CA), 4-2, in a league game.

Next, the Wildcats play the De La Salle Spartans (Concord, CA) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, April 15. Franklin will attempt to improve on its 14-3 season record. The Spartans go into the game with a 9-2 record after their 6-0 non-league win over Jesuit (Carmichael, CA).
