In Friday's league game, the host Jeff Davis Yellowjackets baseball squad scored a tight 7-0 triumph over the Fitzgerald Purple Hurricane.
With the triumph, Jeff Davis moves its record to 23-4 on the season. The Yellowjackets travel to Brantley County (Nahunta, GA) to battle the Herons in a A D1 Region 1 match on Tuesday, April 15. The Herons come into the match with a record of 8-20. Brantley County won 14-7 in their recent league match against Bacon County (Alma, GA)
The Purple Hurricane now possess a 15-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Valdosta for a non-league match on Monday, April 14. Fitzgerald will battle a Wildcats squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Lowndes (Valdosta, GA). The Wildcats record now stands at 11-17.
