Ohio High School Baseball - Johnstown-Monroe nips Utica

The Johnstown-Monroe Johnnies baseball team scored 4 runs and held the visiting Utica Redskins to 3 in the Johnnies league win on Friday.

The Johnnies now hold a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they host Buckeye Valley for a non-league test on Saturday, April 12. Johnstown-Monroe will play a Barons team coming off a 8-6 league loss to Bexley (Columbus, OH). The Barons record now stands at 3-2.

With the defeat, Utica falls to 0-5 on the campaign. The Redskins travel to Lakewood (Hebron, OH) to face the Lancers in a Licking County game on Monday, April 14. The Lancers enter the game with a record of 4-2. Lakewood lost 5-4 in their recent non-league game against Fairfield Union (Lancaster, OH)
