Texas High School Baseball - Mesquite holds off Lancaster

April 11, 2025: Lancaster, TX 75146

The crowd at Friday's league battle between the Mesquite Skeeters (Mesquite, TX) and the host Lancaster Tigers (Lancaster, TX), saw Mesquite's baseball team gain a win over Lancaster by a tally of 7-3.

The Skeeters (17-4) will now prepare for their battle against West Mesquite (Mesquite, TX). The Wranglers enter the non-league battle with a 4-20 record. In their last battle, West Mesquite was overwhelmed by Seagoville (Dallas, TX), 11-0, in a league battle.

Next, the Tigers face the Waxahachie Indians (Waxahachie, TX) in a 6A Region II District 11 battle, on Tuesday, April 15. Lancaster will attempt to upgrade on its 10-12 season record. The Indians enter the battle with a 16-9 record after their 16-0 league win over Skyline (Dallas, TX).
