The Little Cypress-Mauriceville Bears baseball team scored 4 runs and held the visiting Silsbee Tigers to 3 in the Bears league win on Friday.

The Bears now hold a 20-5 record. They take the field next when they host Jasper for a 4A Region III District 18 test on Tuesday, April 15. Little Cypress-Mauriceville will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 7-1 league loss to Bridge City (Bridge City, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 6-13.

With the defeat, Silsbee drops to 14-9 on the year. The Tigers travel to West Orange-Stark (Orange, TX) to play the Mustangs in a 4A Region III District 18 test on Tuesday, April 15. The Mustangs go into the test with a record of 2-16. West Orange-Stark lost 26-3 in their recent league test against Lumberton (Lumberton, TX)
