The New Waverly Bulldogs baseball team scored 12 runs and held the host Onalaska Wildcats to 1 in the Bulldogs league win on Friday.

The Bulldogs now hold a 8-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Anderson-Shiro for a 3A Region III District 23 test on Tuesday, April 15. New Waverly will play a Fighting Owls team coming off a 5-3 non-league loss to Franklin (Franklin, TX). The Fighting Owls record now stands at 14-7.

With the defeat, Onalaska drops to 11-7 on the year. The Wildcats host Douglass (Douglass, TX) to play the Indians in a non-league test on Saturday, April 12. The Indians go into the test with a record of 12-6. Douglass won 15-0 in their recent league test against New Summerfield (New Summerfield, TX)
