The Starkville Christian Cougars (Starkville, MS) baseball got by the host Newton County Academy Generals (Decatur, MS), 11-10 in Friday's non-league challenge.
The Cougars now own a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Tuscaloosa Home Educators for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 15. Starkville Christian will clash with a Warriors team coming off a 7-6 league loss to Southern Christian (Opelika, AL). The Warriors record now stands at 6-11.
With the defeat, Newton County Academy drops to 8-10 on the year. The Generals host Grace Christian (Louisville, MS) to clash with the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 14. The Eagles go into the challenge with a record of 0-6. Grace Christian lost 15-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Calhoun Academy (Calhoun City, MS)
