Texas High School Baseball - Smithson Valley defeats Wagner

April 11, 2025: Spring Branch, TX 78070

The Smithson Valley Rangers (Spring Branch, TX) baseball trounced the visiting Wagner Thunderbirds (San Antonio, TX), 9-3 in Friday's league challenge.

The Rangers now own a 15-8 record. They take the field next when they host Sotomayor for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 12. Smithson Valley will clash with a WILDCATS team coming off a 10-3 league win over Warren (San Antonio, TX). The WILDCATS record now stands at 13-5.

With the defeat, Wagner drops to 6-16 on the year. The Thunderbirds travel to Boerne-Champion (Boerne, TX) to clash with the Chargers in a 5A Region IV District 26 challenge on Tuesday, April 15. The Chargers go into the challenge with a record of 18-7. Boerne-Champion lost 3-0 in their recent league challenge against New Braunfels (New Braunfels, TX)
