In Friday's league battle, the visiting Brookland-Cayce Bearcats soccer squad scored a tight 2-1 win over the Gilbert Indians.

The Bearcats (8-7) will now prepare for their battle against Saluda (Saluda, SC). The Tigers enter the non-league battle with a 6-4 record. In their last battle, Saluda was edged by Newberry (Newberry, SC), 4-3, in a non-league battle.

Next up, the Indians confront the Gray Collegiate Academy War Eagles (West Columbia, SC) in a AAAA Region 4 battle, on Tuesday, April 22. Gilbert will attempt to upgrade on its 5-8 season record.
