In Friday's non-league match, the host Abbott RVT Wolverines softball team scored a tight 13-10 victory over the Weston Trojans.
The Wolverines (1-0) will now prepare for their match against Goodwin RVT (New Britain, CT). The Gladiators go into the non-league match with a 0-1 record. In their last match, Goodwin RVT was routed by Vinal RVT (Middletown, CT), 16-14, in a non-league match.
In their next game, the Trojans battle the Bassick Lions (Bridgeport, CT) in a non-league match, on Monday, April 14. Weston will attempt to better on its 0-3 season record. The Lions go into the match with a 0-2 record after their 20-4 non-league loss to Bullard-Havens (Bridgeport, CT).
