The Monmouth United Red Storm softball squad (Monmouth, IL), was routed 9-3 in Friday's league contest with the host Abingdon/Avon Tornadoes (Abingdon, IL)

With the triumph, Abingdon/Avon improves its record to 4-5 on the year. The Tornadoes travel to Stark County (Toulon, IL) to face the Rebels in a Lincoln Trail contest on Tuesday, April 15. The Rebels enter the contest with a record of 2-6.

The Red Storm now hold a 2-11 record. They play next when they host Biggsville West Central for a Lincoln Trail contest on Tuesday, April 15. Monmouth United will face a Heat squad coming off a 13-4 league win over Knoxville (Knoxville, IL). The Heat record now stands at 6-1.
