In Friday's non-league match, the host Blackduck Drakes softball team scored a tight 9-8 victory over the Littlefork-Big Falls Vikings.
The Drakes (1-0) will now prepare for their match against Red Lake (Red Lake, MN). The Warriors go into the non-league match with a 0-0 record.
In their next game, the Vikings battle the North Woods grizzlies (Cook, MN) in a non-league match, on Thursday, April 17. Littlefork-Big Falls will attempt to better on its 0-1 season record.
