Michigan High School Softball - Chippewa Valley held off by Grosse Pointe North

The Grosse Pointe North Norsemen got by the host Chippewa Valley Big Reds softball squad by a count of 8-7 in Friday's league challenge.

Next, the Norsemen meet the Utica Eisenhower Eagles (Shelby Township, MI) in a Macomb Area - Red challenge, on Tuesday, April 15. Grosse Pointe North will attempt to upgrade on its 3-2 season record.

The Big Reds (2-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Romeo (Romeo, MI). The Bulldogs go into the Macomb Area - Red challenge with a 4-2 record. In their last challenge, Romeo held off Port Huron (Port Huron, MI), 11-0, in a non-league challenge.
