Emery Spartans (Castle Dale, UT) supporters left the game pleased Friday as they saw their softball squad nudge the visiting Juab Wasps (Nephi, UT), 5-0 in a league game.

With the triumph, Emery improves its record to 12-8 on the year. The Spartans travel to Desert Hills (St. George, UT) to play the Thunder in a non-league game on Saturday, April 12. The Thunder enter the game with a record of 18-1. Desert Hills won 3-2 in their recent league game against Cedar (Cedar City, UT)

The Wasps now hold a 4-11 record. They play next when they travel to North Sanpete for a 3A Region 12 game on Tuesday, April 15. Juab will play a Hawks squad coming off a 8-6 non-league loss to Gunnison Valley (Gunnison, UT). The Hawks record now stands at 11-9.
