The Floydada Whirlwinds overwhelmed the host Non Varsity Opponent softball squad by a count of 7-1 in Friday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Whirlwinds meet the Clarendon Broncos (Clarendon, TX) in a 2A Region I District 2 challenge, on Tuesday, April 15. Floydada will attempt to upgrade on its 23-5 season record.
The (54-94) will now prepare for their challenge against Our Lady of the Lakes (Waterford, MI). The Lakers go into the non-league challenge with a 1-2 record. In their last challenge, Our Lady of the Lakes was routed by Cranbrook Kingswood (Bloomfield Hills, MI), 12-11, in a non-league challenge.
