The crowd at Friday's league bout between the The Colony Cougars (The Colony, TX) and the visiting Highland Park Scots (Dallas, TX), observed The Colony's softball team prevail over Highland Park by a tally of 12-3.

The Cougars (7-12) will now prepare for their bout against Creekview (Carrollton, TX). The Mustangs go into the 5A Region II District 12 bout with a 16-14 record. In their last bout, Creekview was routed by Wakeland (Frisco, TX), 15-0, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Scots clash with the Newman Smith Trojans (Carrollton, TX) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, April 15. Highland Park will attempt to advance on its 6-16 season record. The Trojans go into the bout with a 0-20 record after their 16-0 league loss to Reedy (Frisco, TX).
