The Newton Eagles softball squad (Newton, TX), was routed 15-0 in Friday's league contest with the host Huntington Red Devils (Huntington, TX)

With the triumph, Huntington improves its record to 16-2 on the year. The Red Devils travel to Pollok Central (Pollok, TX) to face the Bulldogs in a 3A Region III District 21 contest on Tuesday, April 15. The Bulldogs enter the contest with a record of 17-7.

The Eagles now hold a 4-17 record. They play next when they host Woodville for a 3A Region III District 21 contest on Tuesday, April 15. Newton will face a Eagles squad coming off a 9-5 league loss to Diboll (Diboll, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 7-16.
