In Friday's league test, the Mt. Pleasant Vikings (Mt. Pleasant, PA) softball squad got by the host Southmoreland Scotties (Alverton, PA), by a tally of 12-11.
Next, the Vikings meet the Yough Cougars (Herminie, PA) in a test, on Monday, April 14. Mt. Pleasant will attempt to advance on its 5-3 season record. The Cougars go into the test with a 1-4 record after their 8-5 non-league loss to Deer Lakes (Russellton, PA).
The Scotties (2-2) will now prepare for their test against Burrell (Lower Burrell, PA). The Bucs go into the non-league test with a 2-2 record. In their last test, Burrell was nudged by Deer Lakes (Russellton, PA), 7-3, in a non-league test.
