Massachusetts High School Softball - Winthrop knocked off by Swampscott

The Swampscott Big Blue overwhelmed the visiting Winthrop Vikings softball squad by a count of 8-0 in Friday's league challenge.

Next, the Big Blue meet the Lynn Classical Rams (Lynn, MA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, April 15. Swampscott will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record.

The Vikings (2-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Gloucester (Gloucester, MA). The Fishermen go into the Northeast challenge with a 5-0 record. In their last challenge, Gloucester toppled Saugus (Saugus, MA), 10-2, in a league challenge.
