Palmer Trinity Falcons (Miami, FL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Somerset Academy South Homestead Hurricanes (Homestead, FL), 17-2 in a non-league test.
With the win, Palmer Trinity upgrades its record to 7-8 on the season. The Falcons host Pine Crest (Fort Lauderdale, FL) to battle the Panthers in a 3A District 13 battle on Wednesday, April 13. The Panthers enter the battle with a record of 4-12.
The Hurricanes now possess a 0-11 record. They take the field next when they travel to Keys Gate for a 3A District 16 battle on Thursday, April 14. Somerset Academy South Homestead will play a Knights squad coming off a 5-2 non-league loss to Champagnat Catholic (Hialeah, FL). The Knights record now stands at 9-11.
