The Alleghany Mountaineers softball team scored 9 runs and limited the host Radford Bobcats to 3 in the Mountaineers non-league triumph on Tuesday.

With the triumph, Alleghany improves its record to 4-0 on the year. The Mountaineers host Floyd County (Floyd, VA) to clash with the Buffaloes in a non-league game on Thursday, April 14. The Buffaloes come into the game with a record of 2-0.

In their next game, the Bobcats clash with the Fort Chiswell Pioneers (Max Meadows, VA) in a non-league game, on Thursday, April 14. Radford will attempt to improve on its 0-3 season record. The Pioneers come into the game with a 2-4 record after their 20-4 non-league win over Bland County (Rocky Gap, VA).
