Abingdon Falcons (Abingdon, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting John Battle Trojans (Bristol, VA), 13-7 in a league challenge.

The Falcons now own a 3-4 record. They take the field next when they host Pulaski County for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 13. Abingdon will battle a Cougars squad coming off a 1-0 non-league win over Carroll County (Hillsville, VA). The Cougars record now stands at 7-2.

With the loss, John Battle falls to 5-3 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to Lee (Jonesville, VA) to battle the Generals in a Mountain 7 challenge on Friday, April 22. The Generals enter the challenge with a record of 0-1.
