Illinois High School Softball - Alton bounces Granite City

The Alton Redbirds routed the visiting Granite City Warriors softball squad by a count of 13-1 in Tuesday's non-league battle.

The Redbirds (1-6) will now prepare for their battle against Belleville West (Belleville, IL). The Maroons go into the Southwestern battle with a 3-3 record.

The Warriors now sport a 1-8 record. They play next when they host Columbia for a non-league battle on Friday, April 15. Granite City will meet a Eagles squad coming off a 3-1 league loss to Freeburg (Freeburg, IL). The Eagles record now stands at 6-3.
