North Carolina High School Softball - SouthWest Edgecombe gets by Ayden - Grifton

Spectators at Tuesday's league match between the SouthWest Edgecombe Cougars (Pinetops, NC) and the visiting Ayden - Grifton Chargers (Ayden, NC), witnessed SouthWest Edgecombe's softball squad tip Ayden - Grifton by a count of 7-6.

The Cougars now sport a 16-0 record. They play next when they travel to Ayden - Grifton for a Eastern Plains 2A match on Wednesday, April 13. SouthWest Edgecombe will face a Chargers squad coming off a 7-6 league loss to SouthWest Edgecombe (Pinetops, NC). The Chargers record now stands at 6-9.

With the loss, Ayden - Grifton moves to 6-9 on the season. The Chargers host SouthWest Edgecombe (Pinetops, NC) to face the Cougars in a Eastern Plains 2A match on Wednesday, April 13.
