In Tuesday's non-league contest, the Jones Trojans (Trenton, NC) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Bethel Christian Academy Trojans (Kinston, NC), by a margin of 12-2.

With the triumph, Jones moves its record to 6-8 on the year. The Trojans host Pamlico County (Bayboro, NC) to play the Hurricanes in a Coastal Plains 1A/2A contest on Wednesday, April 13. The Hurricanes come into the contest with a record of 12-3. Pamlico County won 8-1 in their recent non-league contest against Havelock (Havelock, NC)

In their next game, the Trojans play the Bethel Assembly Christian Academy Eagles (Windsor, NC) in a non-league contest, on Monday, April 25. Bethel Christian Academy will attempt to move on its 5-7 season record.
