The Prestonsburg Black Cats softball team scored 23 runs and limited the visiting Betsy Layne Bobcats to 3 in the Black Cats league triumph on Tuesday.

With the triumph, Prestonsburg improves its record to 3-7 on the year. The Black Cats host Lawrence County (Louisa, KY) to clash with the Bulldogs in a District 58 game on Tuesday, April 19. The Bulldogs come into the game with a record of 13-2.

In their next game, the Bobcats clash with the Knott County Central Patriots (Hindman, KY) in a non-league game, on Thursday, April 14. Betsy Layne will attempt to improve on its 0-8 season record. The Patriots come into the game with a 4-2 record after their 6-5 non-league win over Wolfe County (Campton, KY).
