Casteel Colts (Queen Creek, AZ) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Campo Verde Coyotes (Gilbert, AZ), 15-13 in a league challenge.

The Colts now own a 11-14 record. They take the field next when they host Sunrise Mountain for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 18. Casteel will battle a Mustangs squad coming off a 8-5 league loss to Centennial (Peoria, AZ). The Mustangs record now stands at 11-7.

With the loss, Campo Verde falls to 16-8 on the campaign. The Coyotes host Gilbert (Gilbert, AZ) to battle the Tigers in a 5A San Tan challenge on Wednesday, April 13. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 15-5. Gilbert won 14-2 in their recent league challenge against Higley (Gilbert, AZ)
