Cherokee Indians (Cherokee, AL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Covenant Christian Eagles (Tuscumbia, AL), 20-6 in a league challenge.

The Indians now own a 12-12 record. They take the field next when they travel to Shoals Christian for a 1A Area 16 challenge on Thursday, April 14. Cherokee will battle a Flame squad coming off a 15-0 league loss to Waterloo (Waterloo, AL). The Flame record now stands at 1-4.

With the loss, Covenant Christian falls to 2-6 on the campaign. The Eagles host Phillips (Bear Creek, AL) to battle the Bears in a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 14. The Bears enter the challenge with a record of 2-16. Phillips lost 9-7 in their recent league challenge against Vina (Vina, AL)
