Willis Wildkats (Willis, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting College Park Cavaliers (The Woodlands, TX), 9-4 in a league challenge.

The Wildkats now own a 11-15 record. They take the field next when they travel to Oak Ridge for a 6A Region II District 13 challenge on Thursday, April 14. Willis will face a War Eagles squad coming off a 17-14 league loss to The Woodlands (The Woodlands, TX). The War Eagles record now stands at 11-9.

With the loss, College Park falls to 17-4 on the campaign. The Cavaliers host Conroe (Conroe, TX) to face the Tigers in a 6A Region II District 13 challenge on Thursday, April 14. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 6-20. Conroe lost 5-2 in their recent league challenge against Oak Ridge (Conroe, TX)
